MADO
We wanted to create a place to connect our favorite Tango textiles with many people, PARANOMAD's own factory opened in April 2023.
Tango is a major production area that supports 70% of Japan's silk textiles.
The textiles produced by craftsmen with accumulated advanced techniques and rich sensibilities are attracting attention from maisons around the world.
Currently, there are approximately 700 factories in Tango, but the number is expected to decrease to less than 100 in 20 years.
How can we pass the baton of traditional industry to the next generation?
We believe that connecting with people who have never been involved in textiles will be a small step in this direction. MADO Textile Factory” was established to create connections with people who have never been involved in textiles.
It is a place where visitors can tour, experience, and interact with the production base, which also serves as a window to the Tango region.
